As part of the marketing for the Winter Fair, we have all been assigned the task to create a poster. To begin my idea generation, I created simple thumbnails innitial ideas.

I really love how this poster turned out. I really wanted to create a piece where the audience is being directly spoken to - which I did. Having a polar bear up close and filling the majority of the page captures your attention and has a humerous effect. It also looks as though it is actually speaking directly to you. Including the text bubbles adressing this further also helps accompany this. 

I am happy with the colour choices as it is not too overpowering and sets the scene. I was really happy when I noticed that there was a snow effect on Procreate as this really helped emphasise the Christmas/Winter theme. It has all the needed details for the fair.

I think looking at other student's posters also helped as it helped me think more creatively and priotise what to add to the poster. I included all the logos and still did not make it look cluttered.

Short and simple and straight to the point. It can also interest children as animals often capture the attention of a younger audience - therefore further enticing people into the event.

Reflecting on the winter fair Daisy Jackson / 12/12/2022 Reflecting upon the Winter fair, I would say it went better than expected. At the end of the day I did make sales which was nice as well as the interactions I had with customers/people. Everyone was extremely friendly and I did not feel nervous. I think the layout of my stall went really well and everything was nicely organised. I was really happy with how it all turned out. I think if I was to make improvements for next time or if I could go back in time and change things I would definitely reduce the amount of stock I made as I lost out on a lot of profit. I know this is not the point but it would be nice to break even or make more than I spent. However, the experience of it was really great and definitely insightful. I have never done anything like this before so it was really fun and interesting.  I think I did a great job promoting myself and my brand so I am happy with that. Creating a series of designs - 28/10/2022

Creating a series of designs Daisy Jackson / 28/10/2022 This week I set myself the ongoing task of creating designs and bringing my ideas to life.  I will more than likely spend next week (or half of next week) doing the same thing as I want the perfect designs to communicate Warhorse the story in my own way. Here are my designs: I really love this design as it communicates Warhorse in a unique way. It is a fun midpoint design where it references Warhorse but can also just be a general shirt for people to wear and enjoy. From my survey I noticed that a large amount of individuals were not familiar with the story or Warhorse at all, so creating a mid-way shirt would be great to generate sales but also reference Warhorse. The second image was a try out for a different design for the deck chair. I decided to go with the top one as this made the design less complicated and not too overcrowded.
